{applause} Dr. Rebecca Phillips: High school students are at a really special place.
They are discovering so many new things.
Learning so much about their instruments, about music, about life.
And when they learn something new and that light bulb comes on It's incredible to be able to witness that and to see them say, oh, that's how that goes.
And I just love that.
That is the best part about teaching is seeing and seeing the students be successful.

So I'm really, really, really happy that they have embraced this music and not embracing that from a sense of, of, appreciation, Or, yea, isn't that nice?
But from a sense, a deep sense of gratitude and, and knowing that, you know it, you know, it takes all people to make the world go round and, for them to sing this music and bring dignity and homage to black composers is amazing.
