(applause) [Mickey Davis] Good evening and I'm your host Mickey Davis.
Tonight, we are excited to look back at the third season of Studio 3 LIVE with highlights from each episode.
The twelve artists who graced our stage for Season 3 came from all corners of the geographic and musical world.
From home grown honky-tonk to Irish traditional music to everything in between.
However diverse the music, what united all of our guests in Season 3 was a talent for having a story and knowing how to tell it.
Up first is Chicago Farmer.
Folk artist Cody Diekhoff, also known as Chicago Farmer, lives in the contrast of his stage name.
First inspired by the farms and rural experience of his upbringing, Cody's experience in Chicago also led to embracing the blue-collar big city grit of his chosen home.
Years of relentless touring with his band helped Cody discover one truth above all else, folk music is for the folks in big cities, for the folks in small towns, for the folks who look like him and for those who don't.
In that way, he carries the same purpose with his music as the folks icons who came before him.
Here now is Chicago Farmer.

Inspired by icons such as Bill Withers and Aaron Neville, Iowa City's Kevin Burt has traveled around the world earning accolades for his contribution to contemporary blues.
Bob Dorr's legacy in Iowa is unmatched, from his work with The Blue Band starting in the 1980s to his decades long commitment to public media.
The two of them sharing the stage brought much of Iowa's legacy of the blues to this episode.
