Remembering Hollywood icon Doris Day

Doris Day died Monday at her home in Carmel Valley, California, at age 97. Day was one of the most bankable box office stars of her generation, a popular and prolific leading lady who came to resent her wholesome, girl-next-door image, calling it “boring.” But her personal life was more turbulent, with a series of failed marriages and financial troubles. John Yang remembers a Hollywood icon.
